Day 1 Arrival in Rome
Transfer to your hotel in Rome, dinner and overnight Day 2 Rome city tour Orientation tour of the city, Piazza Venezia, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Roman Forum, and the Coliseum. Dinner and overnight in Rome Day 3 St Peter's Basilica and Vatican City Tour of the Eternal City of Rome with visiting St Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world and the three major Basilicas: St Mary Major, St John in Lateran and St Paul Outside the Walls. Departure for Loreto and visit the Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. Arrival in Assisi through the Umbrian countryside. Dinner and overnight in Assisi Day 9 La Verna-Monte Casale Departure for the Sanctuary of La Verna, a religious centre known all over the world, where St.Francis founded a small hermitage community and received from Christ the final seal of the stigmata. Stop at the little convent of Monte Casale, where St. Francis and his brothers worshipped and return to Assisi for dinner and overnight Day 10 Terni-Greccio Departure for Terni, where it is located the tomb of St.Valentine. Stop at the Marmore Waterfalls, the highest in Europe. Visit the Sanctuary of Greccio, also known as the "Franciscan Bethlehem, where for the first time in history St.Francis celebrated the birth of Christ with peasants and animals and so the tradition of the Christmas nativity started.
